NSW Safer Drivers Course - Module 1
The Safer Drivers course is a combined theoretical and practical course for learner drivers that have completed a minimum of 50 driving hours. It has been specifically designed for the development of low risk driving skills and awareness in learner drivers. Participants receive a 20 hour credit in their learner driver log book for completion of the Safer Drivers course. It is a course prerequisite that Module 1 and Module 2 MUST be completed within 30 days of each other.
Description
HART is an accredited provider of the Transport for NSW Safer Drivers Course. The course is designed for learner drivers who have completed 50 hours of driving practise (if you have completed 10 hours with a Driving Instructor you will need to have 70 hours in the log book) and be under 25 years-old.
The Safer Drivers Course aims to provide learner drivers with driving strategies such as:
- Safe following distance
- Making the correct decisions
- Speed management
- Gap selection and
- Hazard awareness
The aim is to have students more prepared when they drive unsupervised on their provisional licence. The course also aims to help learner drives identify situations that may put them at greater risk of a crash and consider strategies that may help to avoid them.
The Safer Drivers course cost is $70 for each module inclusive of GST, payable directly to HART.
